A BARRIER AGAINST VIRUSES* THAT CAUSE
COLD, FLU, COVID-19 AND MORE
A way to provide daily extra protection against viruses* at the point of their entry.
The nose and the mouth are the front door to our body – this is where all kinds of germs, bacteria and viruses* enter our body.
Therefore, the nose and throat cavity are equipped with a special mucous membrane that protects our body from pathogens penetrating deep into our cells. It is our body’s first physical barrier and the immune system’s first line of defence.
However, the mucous membranes of the nose, mouth and throat can only perform their function if they are in good physiological condition.
The air that is too dry and too hot, pollution particles, toxic fumes in the inhaled air and topical use of nasal decongestants irritate the nasal mucosa and dry it out. Elderly people are particularly vulnerable to adverse environmental factors, in whom, due to age or under the influence of environmental factors, a gradual atrophy of the mucous membrane occurs (so-called Sjögren syndrome), which leads to damage to the nasal or oral mucosa and facilitates the development of viral and bacterial infections.
Damaged oral or throat mucosa increases the risk of acute and chronic infectious diseases, including common colds and various infections (caused by different types of viruses, coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2 which is responsible for COVID-19, as well as influenza viruses and coronaviruses, which can cause influenza or the common cold). Given the right conditions, the virus enters host cells and multiplies, leading to the occurrence of the disease symptoms.
However, daily prophylaxis can prevent infections. For this purpose, the medical device Bloxivir was developed, which protects, prevents and fights viral* infections, owing to three substances that have been proven in clinical studies.
How does Bloxivir work?
Bloxivir is a medical device intended for daily protection against viral* infections, as well as the fight against active viruses*. It may be used several times a day, both as a prevention and in therapy, in adults and in children over one year of age.
This is due to the content of three substances:
Bloxivir forms a protective layer on the mucous membrane, which supports the natural barrier properties of the nasal mucosa and provides a mechanical barrier against the penetration and multiplication of pathogens into the body.
The protective effect starts immediately after application.
When to use Bloxivir?
Protection against viruses that cause upper respiratory tract infections
It blocks viral entry into cells, thereby protecting against highly contagious viral infections of the upper respiratory tract (influenza and the common cold, caused by the influenza virus and coronaviruses, as well as against COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2).
It blocks the multiplication of viruses and thus prevents the occurrence of the disease symptoms.
It protects against the spread of the virus (by reducing transmission from symptomatic or asymptomatic infected persons to others).
It protects against dryness and against irritation of the nasal and oral mucosa by environmental factors that may make it easier for viruses to enter cells and multiply.
Helpful in the course of an already acquired infection (relieving symptoms)
It alleviates symptoms of viral infections of the upper respiratory tract, including rhinitis and pharyngitis (caused by influenza viruses and coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2) and reduces dryness of the throat.
It reduces the duration of illness caused by a viral infection of the mucous membrane of the nose or throat.
It reduces the likelihood of bacterial superinfection, which often follows a viral infection.
Who is Bloxivir for?
Bloxivir is intended for anyone who wants to further protect themselves and/or others in everyday situations from contracting influenza viruses and coronaviruses that cause the common cold, flu and Covid-19.
Bloxivir can be used by adults and children over one year of age.
